On making an appointment with us at Total Foot Health we are all agreeing to honour that commitment. At times things will get in the way and it will be necessary to reschedule appointments. We promise to give you as much notice as possible. We would request the same from you so that we can offer an appointment space to another patient. We very much appreciate your cooperation with this.
If you have to cancel your appointment with us at Total Foot Health we would appreciate it if you can give as much notice as possible, with a minimum of 24 hours.
If we have taken a deposit for your appointment this will either be transferred to your next scheduled visit or reimbursed in full.

LETTER FROM LYNDON – GDPR AT TOTAL FOOT HEALTH – 21 May 2018
As you may be aware a new law comes into force on 25 May 2018 regarding how companies store, use and protect an individual’s data. This law will affect us all and as such we have been working to ensure that we comply with the regulations. The Information Commissioner’s Office requires all companies who hold personal data to register with them. The good news is that we have actually been working with the ICO for many years and already have a strong data protection policy.
Due to this fact the main implication for our relationship is that we explain to you why we hold the data we hold and ensure that it is kept safely, hence this letter.
As a healthcare organisation and provider of excellent care it is incumbent upon us to store appropriate health and other personal data. We use this in our day to day operations in treating patients appropriately. In order to legally hold this information with the new regulations we require your written consent when you come into clinic. If you are an established patient with the practice the ICO interpretation is that you have already given this consent by your association with us. This information will have to be held by us for 7 years past your last treatment, or up to the age of 21, whichever is the longer timescale.
Our data is stored electronically on our internal secure server and is backed up daily by our fully compliant practice management software suppliers to ensure continuity in the event of our server failing. We do not share this data with anyone except for reasons directly related to your on-going care and only then with your permission.
We also keep and use emails and mobile number information to help us run the business more effectively. We will send a text reminder for appointments 24 hours prior to the appointed time as a reminder. We use emails for our monthly newsletter and information letters such as this. It is possible to unsubscribe from the email system using the link at the bottom of this page. I do however recommend that you do not do this as you will miss out on important updates to our business.
FEES INCREASE – JUNE 2018 – 14 May 2018
Thank you for your loyal support over this past year and being a part of the Total Foot Health community. This year has seen a lot of change for the business and at times has been a very challenging period. This is particularly so following my retirement from surgical practice. I am delighted to say, however, that the whole team and our wider community has pulled out all the stops to keep us up and running and bring us to the stable position we see today.
It is that time of year when we introduce a rise in our fees for the care that we give. As usual the cost of medical care outstrips general inflation, but I am pleased to let you know that we have been able to make savings this year without compromising patient care. The saving has been mostly in ancillary areas and has had the result of reducing our overheads noticeably.
From 1st June our fees will rise by approximately 7% across the board. As always we will honour pre-booked appointments at their original fees. We shall endeavour to continue giving you the very best of service and attention and shall also continue to invest in the business to enhance your experience of care with us.
Many thanks for your understanding in this and should you have any further queries then please do contact me and I shall do my best to help you.
