David completed his original podiatry training at the Wales Centre for Podiatric Studies in Cardiff, where he qualified with a Batchelor of Science (honours) degree in podiatry. He initially worked in private podiatry practice before joining the NHS podiatry service in Portsmouth, where he developed skills in the prevention of foot ulceration. David joined Total Foot Health due to its excellent reputation as a progressive, multi-disciplinary clinic. Over the past few years he has continued post-graduate study with the University of Brighton, and in 2017 was awarded a Master of Science degree in podiatry, for which he undertook research into devices used to assess sensation in the sole of the adult foot.

David is experienced in the prevention of diabetic foot disease and minor surgery (for ingrowing toenails and verrucae) as well as traditional chiropody practice. In addition to his practice at Brown Street, David also assists Mr Neal Jacobs, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (Foot and Ankle) at New Hall hospital where he provides local anaesthetic and peri-operative care to patients undergoing foot surgery. He prides himself on being a gentle and thorough clinician who aims to provide the highest level of care to his patients through active continuation of professional development. David is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a full member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists / College of Podiatry.

In his spare time David enjoys walking, swimming, tennis and fishing.
