With the forthcoming London Marathon on Sunday 23 April we would like to wish all participants the very best run on the day. Whether you are a total novice and this is your first marathon, or an experienced runner, the most important thing on your equipment list must be your running shoes. Don’t be concerned if you are an ‘over’ or ‘under’ pronator, the best advice you can get is … go with what feels the most comfortable.

However, I would recommend you get your feet measured before the purchase of running shoes. It is certainly worth investing in good running socks and we suggest having 2-3 pairs, as these can stop those blisters forming. About 2-3 weeks before the event it would be advisable to start using your race day shoes to ensure you do not get any rubs or blisters from them.

If you, or any of your family or friends, are in training and are noticing foot or leg pains developing we would urge you not to ignore these as they may ruin your big day.

At Total Foot Health we have the experts who will be able to help you solve your injury worries and training conundrums. It is easy to make an appointment by talking with our highly trained reception team.

Good luck to you all from the team at Total Foot Health.
