At Total Foot Health we just love telling the world about the benefits of good podiatry care! As part of this we held an open evening for other healthcare professionals in the local area explaining how we, in partnership with them, can help their patients. The evening started with David explaining the diabetic foot annual assessment and its importance in maintaining healthy feet. Reducing the risk of serious diabetic foot complication such as ulceration, infection and amputation is a vital part of the work we undertake at Total Foot Health.
Edward gave a presentation on how our diagnostic ultrasound machine is used for helping to assess previously invisible soft tissue, joint and bone pathology in the foot and ankle. The technique is very safe, involving no radiation and highly specific to help us diagnose foot pathology.
The feedback on the evening was very encouraging and we plan to expand the education evenings further through the year.
