On Thursday 23 June Elizabeth, Marie and Lyndon attended the South Wilts Business of the Year Awards 2016 held at the City Hall in Salisbury.
The evening started with non-alcoholic cocktails, canapes and a chance to mingle in the foyer with other members of the business community. There was a palpable feeling of excitement in the air as people discussed the categories they had entered at this year’s awards. At Total Foot Health we had entered the Small Business of the Year using it as a way to allow us to interact with the wider business community and give us a chance to promote the benefits of expert podiatry care.
Once all the guests, of which there were 750, were ushered into the auditorium the main event of the evening began. This was hosted by Spire FM’s Ceri Hurford-Jones and Karen Bosley doing a marvellous job of entertaining the crowd and keeping the atmosphere alive. Lyndon was especially excited as the entertainment for the evening was provided by ABC a band he remembered extremely well from the early 80s of whom he was a great fan! In fact he was seen to be singing along with all the songs.
Throughout the evening the awards kept coming thick and fast and it was fantastic to see so much being achieved by the business community of Salisbury and South Wiltshire. Towards the end of the evening we were amazed to find out that Total Foot Health had been selected as a finalist in the Small Business of the Year Award.
In true Hollywood style the crowd was kept waiting in order to build up the tension and we were staggered when Total Foot Health was awarded the prize for Small Business of the Year!
Elizabeth did a fantastic job, not only in putting together an excellent speech within seconds of being called to the stage to receive the prize, but in actually getting us to enter in the first place. Her vision, business knowledge, mentorship, enthusiasm and passion for not only Total Foot Health but for podiatry as a whole, shone through throughout the judging process, awards ceremony and post awards socialising – well done!

We have been helped along the way by many people in the business community of Salisbury and beyond and are truly grateful for everyone’s input in helping to make Total Foot Health the business it is. We are extremely grateful to our patients because, without you, we would not have a business!
